Learn to make easy soup with Red Lenthil and Chickpea. It’s a low fat and low calorie recipe.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Red lentils – 1/4 cup
  • Cooked Chickpeas – ¼ cup
  • Tomatoes chopped/whole(big) – 1
  • Onion(Chopped) – 1
  • Cumin seeds -1 teaspoon
  • Chili flakes – large pinch
  • Vegetable oil -1 teaspoon
  • Salt – to taste
  • Water/veg stock – 2 cups
  • Coriander,Yogurt – Garnishing
PREPARATION METHOD:
  1. Heat a deep pan.Dry fry cumin seeds and chili flakes still they pop and release their aroma.
  2. Now add oil and chopped onion,saute and cook till onions turn pink.
  3. Add lentils,tomatoes,salt and stock/water,bring to boil.
  4. Simmer for 15-20 minutes till lentils softens.
  5. Make a rough puree of this using a blender.
  6. Back to pan,add channa and cook on low flame till all blend together.
  7. Serve with fresh coriander/yogurt.
