Brown Gram Sundal is traditionally prepared during Navrathri. It’s a healthy evening snack.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Brown Gram – 1 cup
  • Grated coconut – ½ cup
  • Salt – to taste

To Temper:

  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Mustard – ½ tbsp
  • Urad dal – ½ tbsp
  • Curry leaves – few
  • Green chilies – 2
  • Jeera – ½ tbsp
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
PREPARATION METHOD:
  1. Soak Brown gram overnight, pressure cook with salt and keep it aside.
  2. In a pan add oil when it is little hot add mustard, urad dal, curry leaves, Jeera and green chilies.
  3. Then add boiled Brown gram let it cook in a low flame for 1 minute.
  4. Then add grated coconut, garnish it with coriander leaves.
