Brown Gram Sundal is traditionally prepared during Navrathri. It’s a healthy evening snack.
INGREDIENTS:
- Brown Gram – 1 cup
- Grated coconut – ½ cup
- Salt – to taste
To Temper:
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Mustard – ½ tbsp
- Urad dal – ½ tbsp
- Curry leaves – few
- Green chilies – 2
- Jeera – ½ tbsp
- Oil – 2 tbsp
PREPARATION METHOD:
- Soak Brown gram overnight, pressure cook with salt and keep it aside.
- In a pan add oil when it is little hot add mustard, urad dal, curry leaves, Jeera and green chilies.
- Then add boiled Brown gram let it cook in a low flame for 1 minute.
- Then add grated coconut, garnish it with coriander leaves.
