Manipuri, Manipur
This dance form originates from the NE state of Manipur. The Raslila, a favorite dance of Krishna with his milkmaids has a strong influence on this style of dance. Colorful costumes, lyrical, gentle and soft movements represent the core of Manipuri dance. Pung, pena, flute, drums are the important accompaniments for this dance.

Kathakali originated in the state of Kerala denotes the stylized form of dance-drama. It is noted for its distinct body movements, intricate gestures, bright make-up and sophisticated costume. Originating from the state of Odisha, this dance portrays the spiritual motifs of India. This creative and devotional form of dance is graceful, sophisticated, expressive and sensual. This dance includes the Tandava and Lasya elements. Mahari, Nartaki, and Gotipua are the three main schools of Odissi dance tradition.
