Hi all , I am 28 years old and I had been suffering from acne and acne scars on my face for the past 10 years. I had gone for allopathic treatment but it gave results for only a short period of time.Then these pimples have been there on and off on my face . I have acne on my back and shoulders, but not as severe as on my face. I feel ayurvedic treatment will be much better with no side effects. Can anybody suggest a good doctor in Chennai who can treat these problem well. I am also trying to conceive my second baby, so I definitely dont want to go for allopathy.
Kala. As these scars are residing for long,simultaneously will take long time to subside nevertheless the kind of treatment you opt for.. Dermabrasion(Removal of scars or tattoos by anesthetizing the skin surface and then sanding or scraping off some of the outer skin layer) is needed in your case.No side effects.just some "Dont's" are to be followed like avoiding direct sunlight,using cosmetics etc....My personal opinion is Please consult a dermatologist/cosmetologist. OR approach KAYA skin clinic in your locality for getting out of your doubts.
Hi yash, Thanks for your reply. I shall try kaya skin clinic.. Any idea how much it will cost. I have scars more on my right cheek and chin. I live in Chennai. I came here 1 year back. My face developed more pimples in the summer here.. So I am very much concerned. Anybody who knows a good ayurveda specialist might also help me. But as Yash said, if the treatment is going to be external alone I dont mind!!.. Thankyou once again Yash.
Hi, Even I had the same problem. I suffered with it nearly 5 years. Changes in food habit will be the best remedy for this. Completely avoid oily foods. Pickles, puris, vadais, chips and all junk foods. Drink plenty of water daily. Water will hydrate the skin. Take fruits, and also if you get tender coconut that is good. Acne on the back and shoulders are due to body heat. So tender coconut will help you in this. Also avoid curd, ghee. For me doctor precribed an ointment for the acne scars. You can try this one Honey+lemon+rawmilk. Wash it off with green gram powder. Now I dont have any problem. Only thing is you need to follow this regularly. You can see the result in a week. Even Now I dont touch oily foods. If you are using any fairness cream, stop for a while. You'll see the difference.

So did your scars also fade by this treatment? and did you use any cosmetics while you used that cream.. I am always perplexed, on which cosmetics I can use for my skin.. right from the foundation to the compact powder etc. I am new to Indus ladies and hope I will get better knowledge on these here!! First cut off all those oily foods. 50% percent of the problem will be solved. Yes, Now I dont have scars. You can also try potato juice. You need to apply it whenever it gets dried. No, I dont use any cosmetics. Actually I got this acne problem only after using fair and lovely cream. So I dont use any chemcials on my skin. I use only eye liner. Sometimes, even foundations and the other cosmetics may result in acne. So its better to stop it and see the changes.
Dear Kala, I would like to share homey remedy for pimples. Take 3 spoon of honey & one spoon of cinamon powder, mix it & apply to your face for 15 mint. use this for two weeks. This would really help you to remove pimples. Take care yourself
Thanku Shel and Munaza, Shel, I too was using fair and lovely cream a while ago to reduce scars, Only after you wrote, I recollected that I got the pimples gradually, after using the cream!!.. Yes, so fair and lovely is just not right for me. Your post has helped me identify this.. thanku dear!! Munaza, thanks for sharing the tip.. Is it good to apply the home remedies with our fingers.?
