I have my mail-id in a website in which i have stored old mails which are sent 9 years back. Now i am unable to retrieve it.The response from customer support is waste.Does anybody faced the same problem and retrieved it.How to sort it out.
Thanks, but i am logging in frequently. Might they have changed the server in which mails are stored ? Dont know how to retrieve.
Shreepriya, Can you give more specific information about your problem? Are you unable to login or are you able to login but unable to see the old emails in your account? Even if the service provider migrates to another server, they are require by the law to keep a copy old emails on their server, even if you delete them. Contact the customer care thru email regarding this issue. If your current id is not working, use another email id and state the problem. This is better than calling as you have a record of your conversations with the customer care. -Lakshmi
Hi Whatever free service e-mail provider deletes the e-mails after a certain period, if you don't log in for some time. But they keep the account only , in case the user wants to use the same account name, then can request to activate the existing old account. But you will not get your e-mails back. Gmail is still keeping old e-mail compare to other providers. Regards Nilesh
Thanx, I have my account in rediffmail.I am regularly using it.But the old mails which are stored in my folder is not being opened. The mail,if opened, shows the wrong date (June 1970) and there is no written message inside. Even the customer care is not bothered even after sending so many mails.
