"Golden moments of Life" - One more love story

This is my first attempt to write stories ! Please read and let me know your feedback. And this is a love story!! <3 .

Episode I
Renu and her mom Lakshmi was shocked to hear that news from their relative!!! Both were dumbstruck to hear THAT news!!! Her mom at once ran to Renu’s uncle’s (Her dad’s 1[SUP]st[/SUP] brother’s) house which is on the same street!! Renu dnt know what to do. She wanted to tell this shocking news to someone who needs it! So she just started climbing steps to other uncle’s (Her dad’s 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] brother’s) house which is on the first floor!!

Her thoughts were pulling her back to various incidents in the past!

She still remembers her childhood memories well. Her aunt(dad’s elder sister) used to call Renu to her home for some help. Her aunt’s husband is a veterinary doctor who wont be at home for most of the time as he has other business to look after!! Ironically many people will be calling him via phone for appointment and stuff(There were no cell phones by then). So aunt’s full time job in weekends is to make note of all those calls(Landline calls) for her husband!!

The reason why she calls Renu is to attend those calls when she goes for a long head bath in weekends!! Might sound silly! But a practical problem!! Renu use to hate this task ! Use to hate her aunt as well. Any 8 years old kid will hate to sit alone in that big house and she has to write some mathematical tables in the mean time!! (Homework given by her dad&Aunt).But she cant say No. she she just does with no other option!!

Renu’s dad & his sister(Renu’s aunt) both are very much inclined towards education!! So both keenly keeps track of Renu’s marks and academic performances!! So most of Renus’s time will be around academics!! But Renu is a very bright student who always bags second rank and never comes first!!! So everyone asks her you are a bright girl and why cant bag first rank!!! Even she has felt it but she could never beat that topper girl of her class!!!

Time kept passing as such, she crossed 9 yrs, 10 yrs, 11 yrs!! And now she is in 6[SUP]th[/SUP] standard!! As always she is good at academics and excels in oration!! She is the topper of all orations in school in all the three languages!!!

She was 12 years old and when she came home the other day from school, her mom made her to sit alone!!! She was confused what happened to her!! Then she came to know that she has attained puberty!!! So as per Indian traditions, all the custom and traditions had been followed!! Parallely another life changing event happened in their family!! Her dad who had been sick for the past 6 months, started counting his days… But no one expected his death soon!!

So now Renu’s family is just her mom and baby sister who is just 5 years old!!! They don’t have anyone to support them except their aunt… Both Renu’s dad and her aunt belonged to the government education department. So Renu’s aunt tried to get a job for Lakshmi based on compassion quota. Lakshmi couldn’t imagine herself as a 32 years old jobless widow with 2 small daughters!!! . They got few bucks as pension and meager amount as house rents with which they managed their survival. Days passed, Months passed.. Lakshmi was waiting for job…

Renu who was climbing steps had a sudden jerk thinking of the past!! She climbed and reached her uncle’s house. Her uncle and his daughter Seetha were sitting and having coffee. They both were chit chatting nicely. Both father and daughter can talk freely about ANY topic within them!! Very good bonding they had. Renu was thinking what to tell them and how to tell them this bad news and she was thinking how will they react…

 

Episode 2:

Renu couldn’t hold anymore and bursted saying “Aunt passed away. Just now her son in law informed us”. She dnt expect such a reaction or response from them. They both asked her, “oh ok!! For that why are you this tensed and nervous!!!!” She was totally shaken by that question!! Aunt was the one has done numerous helps for her younger brothers(including Renu’s dad and her two uncles). She had bought jewels, lands for her brothers’ family.. After getting all the help from her, people wont even get shocked of her death??!!!! Above all, she is the one who got a stable job for Renu’s mother Lakshmi. And because of which the family is eating comfortably today!! Renu was thinking about how thankless her uncle and his daughter Seetha are. She climbed down and came to her home. She still couldn’t come out from the bad news!! She was thinking what all her aunt has done to her family!! The best thing being getting a job for her mother Lakshmi, because of which they are surving.

Lakshmi dnt turn up. So Renu was lost in her thoughts about her Aunt. Its 2 years since her mom got a stable job and Renu is in 10[SUP]th[/SUP] standard appearing for the board exams!! After few minutes, Lakshmi returned home. Both Renu and Lakshmi were quiet…

Renu could feel how her mom Lakshmi will be feeling inside. Lakshmi , as her name says, she is (was) the perfect wife!! Calm, composed, good hearted, never raises her voice against anyone even if its mandatory!! Typical wife & mother shown in indian movies.

Renu and Lakshmi were shattered because they have lost the lady who was the only support for them. Renu’s sister Rithi was watching both her mom and sister being upset..
3 years passed and Renu completed her schooling. And she joined college . It was a women’s college and Renu found it was different because she was in co-education from LKG to 12[SUP]th[/SUP] Standard. Slowly she got friends and that’s the moment she started seeing the other side of life. Movies… fun… bunking classes, big malls, restaurants, outing!!! She never knew the meaning of all these till school but now her wings are up!!! She was enjoying life with her mother and sister in heart!!!
Lakshmi gave her full freedom since she doesn’t want the fatherless daughters to miss anything other than their father!!

Episode 3:
So as usual Renu started to college with her friend Pavithra. She was her bestie. It was a Saturday. They both got into the bus and got down near college. Pavithra belongs to A section and Renu B. So Pavi went into her class and Renu entered as well. Few are absent in Renu’s gang!! Renu was feeling dissppointed. Because most of the college goers go to college just for our friends!! Classes & notes are all just secondary!! ;-)

One of her friend said, “ Am not interested in class today! Shall we go out?!!” Renu was thinking whether to go out or not. Classes on Saturday seemed to be damn boring for Renu.. She said yes!! One more girl from other gang also joined them!! So they three were discussing where to go. And they have to go before any lecturer enters the classroom!!

So they decided to escape from class first and then decide where to go!! All big discussions went in vain and they just decided to go to Beach as usual!!!
They got into bus and got down near beach!!! They played in water nicely and had fun!! They got tired and were sitting in their wet dresses!!! They had their home packed lunches nicely and were enjoying their chit chats!!!

In Beach, there will be lots of business!! People use to sell snacks, water bottles, flowers, toys, and last but not least PALMISTRY. The girls wanted to check palmistry for fun because as all college girls, they did not believe.
So they were excited when they saw one such lady with very biggg bindi came towards them..

Renu and her friends showed their palms eagerly!! Seeing them she found they are young college goers and wanted to say something to impress them and get money! The girls made Renu to show her palm first! After seeing her palm after analysis (so called analysis), the lady said, your Romeo is on the way to your life!! You are going to meet the Love of your life. He is around you somewhere!! And he will be coming soon!! All three girls started giggling and laughing!!Renu very well knew these people blabber something for money!! So they say anything they want!!

The next girl showed her plam!! But she wanted to test the lady!! That girl’s dad too passed away long back!! So she purposefully asked, “maa tell me about my dad seeing my palm” Seeing her plam, that lady said, “Oh my child, your dad will have a long life and live happily with you”
The three girls bursted into laughter and gave her the money!! She got the money but couldn’t understand why they laughed..

It was 5 o clock in the evening and all three girls started home and Renu was telling her mom that she dnt go to college that day but had been to beach and had nice fun and she is very happy because of that!! And Lakshmi was listening everything! Renu and Lakshmi slowly started developing a deep bond which they dnt have before!! Because as all girls, Renu was attached to her dad!! But now these ladies are becoming thick friends beyond age differences.

After dinner, Renu was thinking about the day!! What all fun she had in beach with other girls. And about palm reading as well!! So these ladies blabber anything for money!! She was thinking what all blunders she did in the name of palm reading! But Renu dnt knew that the lady’s so called prediction for Renu is going to come true in few days!!!
