    Can anyone please let me know where do I get Orchid plants/fertilizers in Chennai ?

    170 views and no response ?.... no orchid nurseries are in chennai ?

    no there are no orchid nurseries in chennai..because it is very difficult to maintain them in chennai weather and tends to become a expensive hobby...but you can still get a few varieties that can sustain in some of the nurseries.

    Organic liquid fertilizers are available at select biotech nurseries..and i think they can be used.

    check out greenplants.in.or gardenworld..they are way expensive to me,.maybe they will help you out.you can source it from kerala, this i know as somebody tried to buy orchids for an biotech experiments..

    and if you are interested to find better ways of growing orchid and more about orchids, there is a orchids forum..if interested will post the link..

    Thanks a lot dear ! sad to know that ther r no nurseries there :(

    Yes i do have some plants from kerala and they surviv here but not blooming.thats why i searched in chennai because they are grown here in this climate .

    Where can we get these liquid fertilizers? and Where is gardenworld in chennai?
    i checked out greenplant but as you said they are over priced and we can get it cheaper than this in KErala . but still not sure whether they will sustain :(

    Please share the Orchid forum ... im very much interested .
