My dh was being super cranky, can't blame him though with all the sprains n scratches he has got, but the positivity? He is finally back to his cheery self, comfortable making jokes abt his pain! Its a good sign isn't? After a whole 24+few more hrs of feeling miserable?
@kaniths Hope your DH recovers soon and gets back to normal. Day 68: 9/4 The drizzle yesterday turned to full fledged rain and power was shut down for 3 hours. DH and I ended up going out for dinner. Drive and dinner with DH and no cooking made me relax. Today had a good start. Visited sil's house (we always meet in mil's house only) to see DH's nephew and spent some pleasant time there. Glad I went.
Dear @Kanthis, sorry yaar, haven't had a chance to say sorry about the accident. Glad your DH is getting back routine. He after all has a person who is so cheerful around him. Now, now don't say it is the other way around. Just take the compliment
DD wakes me up with a "Mom, look out the window" and I wake with a "wow beautiful" to "shoot! Snow snow! Are you kidding me?" Well, I checked weather and it promises 70s next week. I assured my plants that it is only a matter of 3 --4 days before I let them enjoy sunlight. That cheered me instantly! And yes, you heard me right, my kids wake me up...oh the stories of my sleep! I am sure my family can write volumes!
Yesterday witnessed a major fire break out in the neighbouring society. I have never seen fire blazing houses so closely except in TVs. It was terrible. It just burnt down the whole unit comprising of some 40 houses. Mostly desis live there. Positive thing is no human life was hurt. Red cross is on their heels to provide shelter to those who lost their houses and those who have been evacuated from the adjacent housing units.
I have extended workday today due to a lot of stuff going on in our investment banking business. Positives 1) My son is here nearly after 30-40 days on a two day break from parallelization of his FORTRAN CFD code. I am looking forward to spending time with him including a lunch or dinner session in a nice restaurant 2) I could smell an excellent aroma coming from the kitchen as my home office is located right next to the kitchen. This special preparation must be for our son but I get collateral benefit 3) As I am planning to taste whatever my wife is preparing to my heart's content, I have a great motivation to get on my stationary bike and burn more calories. Recalled that I had rinsed out the last vestiges of Prov-V from the shampoo bottle by gargling it with water the previous day. : ) Said realization struck an nth of a second after the spray of the shower started. Cutting to the happy ending and sparing us all: there was a brand new bottle sitting in place of the empty one. Positivity being the underline that only I use that shampoo. That thing that has benefits, continues to up its score. Filed taxes.
