(easy) EC PC MURUKKU Ingredients: Rice Flour - 3 cups Besan - 1 cup Ajwain - 1 table spoon Salt - as required Chilli powder – 1 tsp Oil - Butter - Take exact half of a 225 gms butter bar. Til/ellu seeds – 2 tsps (white or black) Method: Mix well - rice flour, besan, til seeds, chilli powder, salt. Rub ajwain with both your hands and let fall in the flour. Add butter and make a soft dough. (not too dry nor toooooooo soft) Heat enough oil in kadai. Keep medium flame throughout….. Put dough in murukku maker and squeeze directly in the oil in any shape round and round wherever there is space in the oil. Wait till the bubbling subsides….then turn the big murukku the other side…..again wait till the bubbling subsides….. Take the big murukku out of oil and let drain excess oil…… Then break it into pieces of size as per your choice….(inch length usually)… Yummy murukku is ready……….!!!!!!!!!!!! hi mssunitha, I do this way only......but i substitute 1/2 cup of rice powder with poha or sabudana powder. I mix besan n rice powder,then i take 3 cups of this mixture n then add 1 cup of butter..........easy method to take butter in proportion........ for 3 cups atta 1 cup butter........
