Nada (Ribbon) Bakoda 3 Ingredients: 4 cups channa dal flour 1 cup rice flour 10 green chilies 50 gms ginger 1/2 cup coconut milk Salt Asafetida Oil to fry Method: Grind green chilies and ginger. Put rice flour and channa dal flour in a bowl and add ginger green chilly paste. Add salt, coconut milk and mix well. Heat oil in a pan and make ribbon bakodas out of the batter. Remove them when they become crispy and golden brown.

Mix them well and make a thick batter Heat oil in a pan and make ribbon bakodas . Remove them when they become golden brown.

Put rice flour and processed channa dal powder in a bowl and add the paste. Add salt and water and make a thick batter Heat oil and make ribbon bakodas out of the batter Remove the ribbon bakodas when they become golden brown.
Udad Vadai Ingredients: 1 Cup Udad Dhal 4-5 Green Chilies 1 Pinch Asafetida Salt Oil to fry Method: Soak Udad dhal for 1/2 hour and grind by adding less water. Add salt, chopped green chilies and asafetida powder. Heat oil in a deep pan and make big vadas buy putting big holes in the center. Turn them occasionally. Remove from fire when they become golden brown. Serve with coconut-ginger chutney. Note: Instead of green chilies you can add whole black pepper also. You can add chopped cabbage, greens, onions in the dough to get verities of vada. If the dough is thin, add a little rice flour or rava and mix well. Keep Aside for 10 min. and then make vadas.

Hi Fatima, You already have a whole bunch of good snack options. I usually try to get my kids their daily intake of fruits at snack time so here is a list of things with fruits that i make for them: 1. Fruit Chat 2. Fruit salad with the instant vanilla pudding and jello 3. Graham crackers with cream cheese/flavored yogurt and fruit of your choice. 4. Fruit smoothies served with Chex mix or baked goldfish 5. Fruit turnovers( this you make with store bought puff pastry dough and fruits like apples, pears, strawberries, cherries etc..).Can make veggie turnovers/puffs the same way. 6. English muffin veg pizzas( this you have to just toast the english muffins in your toaster till crisp. top with veggies of your choice, add the pizza sauce and cheese and just microwave for 30 sec or until the cheese is just melted. ) I usually vary the fruits according to season . Beetroot Pakoda Beet Root Pakoda(Red Pakoda) Beet Root Large - 1 Ajmo seeds - 1 tsp Besan atta - 4 tbsp Rice flour - 2 tbsp Black Paper - 2 tbsp Salt - To taste Spinch Soda by carb Coriander leaves Method: Cut Beetroot(round Shape) Add Ajmo, Besan atta, Rice flour , Black Paper powder and chopped coriander leaves – Soda by Carb salt mixture. Mix nicely. If required use little water In kadai heat oil. Put one spoon full of batter in to oil. Fry until brown in colour. Serve with Chutney/Tomato Ketchup. Tasty snack for tea time.
