    Answer to #6293

    Bletchley Park
was the headquarters of British code-breaking operations during world war II. Their primary objective was deciphering encrypted Nazi communications.

From wiki - "Run by the Government Code and Cypher School (GC&CS), it regularly penetrated the secret communications of the Axis Powers – most importantly the German Enigma and Lorenz ciphers. The official historian of World War II British Intelligence has written that the "Ultra" intelligence produced at Bletchley shortened the war by two to four years, and that without it the outcome of the war would have been uncertain."

Image 1: Ultra. Code name of the intelligence produced by the work done at Bletchley park.

Image 2: Secret key. Keyword for the key tables that helped the allies crack the Enigma and Lorenz ciphers.

Image 3: The earth on its axis. Keyword 'axis' for the term used to describe the Nazis and their allies.

Image 4: Cryptonomicon, a book by Neal Stephenson. The book is set in two separate time periods, one of which is during World War II with Bletchley Park as the setting.

Image 5: Keep calm and hack the code. A reference to code-breaking.
