Episode 13

Slowly everyone started waking up. Sindhu came out of the room and saw Menaka working busy in the kitchen

She silently stood near her. Sindhu’s slightly swollen eyes depicted clearly that she didn’t have proper sleep. After noticing Sindhu, Menaka smiled and patted her cheeks with love. “Is everything OK dear?”

She gave a smile as reply and grabbed the laddle from Menaka. “I will prepare Aunty”

She remembered about centipedes and asked Menaka “Aunty! Do you have HIT”

“HIT? For what dear?”

“Bharath told there are lots of centipedes in that room. I am asking hit to kill them”

“Ha ha ha! Naughty guy. Here you cannot even find cockroaches. They are cleaned on a very frequent basis. And, there are absolutely no chance for centipedes and all. He might have told to scare you. Don’t worry dear” saying she went out

Sindhu’s eyes were fuming in anger.

One by one started assemble in the hall. Ladies occupied the kitchen and started teasing Sindhu with their questions. She gave a weird reply and avoided them

Bharath came out of the room and smiled at everyone. Ganapathy greeted him “Good morning Son!”

“Good morning Uncle. Was everything comfortable? Hope you had a good sleep.”

“Yes Son. Sindhu, bring coffee to Bharath”

Sindhu started thinking of something to take revenge on Bharath. This guy spoiled my good sleep yesterday

Bharath was so eager to see her reaction for the things he did the previous night. He noticed all ladies were sitting around the dining table and discussing about something. Sindhu was alone in the kitchen.

He went inside and adjusted his throat. Sindhu got a plan. She put 1 spoon full of salt in the coffee and gave it to him.

“Seems you had a good sleep yesterday”

“Yes. I did” saying she took a knife

He sipped his coffee and spit immediately “****! What…”

She placed the knife near his stomach “If you shout, I will pierce you. Stay silent and drink”

“Hey! What the hell is this?”

“Do you want me to narrate everyone how you tortured me yesterday, especially your mom. Shall I. You idiot. Hmmm. Drink. That’s the punishment for you”

“Hey, I don’t like salty coffee”

“I said DRINK”

Bharath peeked out to look someone could come to rescue him. Without any options, he drank the salty coffee in a gulp and ran away. Monster she is!!

He ran to the room and found grapes. He galloped 6-7 grapes at a time to eradicate the salty taste from his itching tongue. Huh! Feeling somewhat better

He then came out and sat on the sofa. Ganapathy started asking him something. Bharath replied staring at Sindhu from the corner of his eyes. I will look for another chance lady. Just wait!!

I have got a chance already Gentleman. Sindhu replied him with a wait and watch look.

It is tiffin time now. Everyone gathered around the dining hall. Hot idli, pongal, sambhar, coconut chutney and vada were prepared and arranged neatly on the table.

Sindhu took a small hotpack and smuggled few ladles of sambhar. She added enough sugar to it and kept aside. She took handful of pongal and added huge amount of asafetida and ginger paste.

When Bharath sat on the dining table, she stood next to him and didn’t move from there. Everyone gave a teasing grin at Sindhu but she doesn’t care. She wanted to take revenge. She ensured that no one serves him other than her

The parents misunderstood this war as love.

Poor Menaka, what if she knows her son had a salty coffee this morning and now ready for the next attack with asafetida pongal and sugar sambhar??

Bharath soaked a piece of idli in sambhar and dumped into his mouth. DAMN.
He knows well, he cannot spit in front of elders. But to his surprise, everyone praised Sindhu for the delicious taste of sambhar, pongal and chutney.

Am I the victim now? He got it. He tasted pongal. His face turned pale. He couldn’t eat even a single piece. He tasted chutney. God. No problem with the chutney. Happily he galloped 8 idli and 2 vada with chutney alone as hurry as possible before he gets any other taste in the food

Man. I don’t know when I will get poison in my plate. I should be more careful with her
