Answer: Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria

This assassination is widely believed to be the final trigger for World War 1. Interesting read on the world affairs during that time that lead to world war 1. The military had made plans for handling various situations the these plans automatically were set in motion once the trigger happened.

Clues:
Image1 : Duke
Image 2: Austro-Hungarian empire in 1914
Image 3: The car in which he got assassinated
Image 4: Black Hand group responsible for the assassination.
