Yeah, Thank you Leenam. I am actually enjoying while writing this story. i have deleted the serious parts and replacing it with more fun and humour. You have to say how is it working out..:hide:

 

Episode 10

June 13.
Engagement has been arranged at Bharath’s house. The house was ornamented with flowers. Very big rangoli with beautiful colour combination decorated the entrance. Bharath looked smart in his brown trousers and blue shirt.

Both Bharath and Sindhu were neither excited nor annoyed.

She was ornate with a majentha and gold silk saree with matching gold jewelleries. Her hair was neatly plaited and decorated with matching accessories & flowers. Matching head piece decorated her fore head with stone bindi and limited make up.

She looked gorgeous in that costume. Radha hugged her and kissed on her head. Sindhu was asked to seek blessing from everyone. Ganapathy controlled his emotions and made everyone to get ready on time. He has booked a tempo traveler for others.

Nandhan drove the car which was decorated with ferbs and roses. Ganapthy, Radha and Sindhu boarded the car. The first step towards the engagement was taken

When the car reached Bharath’s house, Moorthy’s wife Mallika took arthi and welcomed the bride.

The ceremony was started on time. The bride and groom were gifted with their engagement outfit by their respective families and asked to dress up. Once they are ready, both were asked to sit next to each other.

Radha asked Menaka to apply tilak to Sindhu. She hesitated for a minute as she is a widow. The priest suggested some Sumangali to apply chandan and kumkum. Sindhu took her hand, and directed towards her forehead and gestured to apply. “I want only aunty to apply. Aunty! Please put kumkum and bless me” and she gave a hard look to the priest. The priest gave an embarrassed smile and asked to proceed

Menaka’s eyes were filled with tears. Even Bharath was stunned to see Sindhu’s reaction. Happily she applied chandan on both of their faces. She placed her hand on Sindhu’s head and kissed on her forehead.

Then Bharath was asked to fit the ring in Sindhu’s finger. Without looking up, he asked for her finger.

Sindhu rolled her fingers into her palms and hesitated. Menaka held her finger and gave it to Bharath. All were making fun of them.

When Bharath touched her finger, a sweet current was flowing all over her body. First touch.

“Her hand is so soft” thought Bharath. Coming to reality he fit the ring and dropped her hand.

Now it is Sindhu’s turn. Her eyes blinked infinite times in a minute. She took his hands in her and fit the ring within a blink and threw away

Vinoth was laughing from his stomach seeing their act. When he noticed Bharath stares at him, he controlled still laughing within his mouth.

Throughout the function, they didn’t even make an eye contact. Bharath felt something flowing from his throat to stomach. He could sense his heart beat billion times more than the normal, he sweat in spite of the air conditioned room. His brain pricked him “this is just an agreement marriage”

At the time of dinner, they were asked to feed each other. Bharath glared at his mom. He then neglected to do so. Sindhu gave a sarcastic smile.

“Leave them. Better we don’t compel them for these things”

Vinoth: “Buddy. You want to feed her alone. Shall we all take a leave now?”

“Come near me buddy.. I will feed you” Bharath took a fork and showed it to Vinoth.

“Ah…That’s ok buddy. I had a sumptuous meal..You please continue..ok..bye bye” Vinoth gave sarcastic, funny gestures and moved away

Slowly everyone started to leave. Time came for Ganapathy family to take off. He thanked Menaka for organizing the function in a grand manner.

Menaka smiled and clutched Sindhu “Till date I know how painful it was when I was ignored in all important event of a function just because I am a widow. I felt so happy and proud when you wanted me to apply chandan and kumkum which are considered to be auspicious and to be applied only by sumangali. I have no words to express my happiness. That shows your heart. I feel so lucky my dear”

“I am the lucky person Aunty. You are 100% pure at your heart. Only such people blessings grant boon to us. “

She kissed on Sindhu’s forehead and hugged her. “My prayers are answered dear. I have got a daughter in law who is not only beautiful but also kind hearted. You are really lucky Bharath” saying she patted on his cheeks

Bharath gave a hard look and a fake smile.

Ganapathy felt so happy seeing this. He embraced Bharath. Tears rolled on his eyes. “Uncle! Be happy. Stay cool” Bharath comforted him

They all waved good bye and left. From the time the car started from the place till they reach their home, Nandan was talking about Menaka, Bharath and their hospitality only.

Whenever topic swifted on Bharath, Sindhu gave a sarcastic look and felt uncomfortable. She couldn’t digest the feeling she had when he touched her. She rotated the engagement ring continuously with an urge to throw it away.

She got a message from Bharath. “Lucky???:bang

She gave a sarcastic smile and ignored.

At Menaka’s house:
Menaka might have mentioned infinite times how proud she felt on Sindhu’s reaction to the priest. Even though Bharath felt happy about it, he could not accept as his life partner. “At least she is good to my mother” he thought

The days started flying.

While the elders were so busy in marriage arrangements, Sindhu and Bharath continued their routine as if the marriage is for their neighbors.

Bharath and Sindhu have invited only their close friends. In fact they don’t like much to be made fun of each other. To be more specific, Sindhu doesn’t likes!!!

There is just a day left for July 10!!!
