Love After Marriage!!!

Episode 5

Bharath was shocked to the core. He transferred her on his lap and patted her cheeks “Mom! Mom! Please wake up mom. Mom. Anna please bring some water”

Menaka gained her consciousness after Bharath sprinkled water at her. She turned her face away. Bharath called his family doctor immediately. Between he forced her to have juice. She was refusing consistently. Bharath understood Menaka was so adamant this time.

Doctor came in. He checked her and told her BP is very low.

“She has not eaten anything for past 8 hrs doctor”

“Bharath! You know very well about her health condition. Why did you leave her in such a state then?”

“This is an emotional black mail for getting married” he stared at her

Menaka “Dr. unless he accepts for marriage I won’t eat anything. I swear. I have arranged for girl seeing ceremony tomorrow. He should come, see her and say OK. I have decided that she should be my daughter in law”

Bharath shook his head. Doctor held his head on his palm. “Do you love someone Bharath?”

“No Way Dr. If he would have done that I would be the most happiest person on this earth. I am getting weak day by day. Before something happens to me, I want to hand over him to some good hands to take care of him”

“Menaka. You have this juice. I will talk to him” Menaka pushed the juice away and closed her eyes.

Dr. held Bharath’s hand and took him to terrace

“Bharath! I know your family when your father was at your age. I think I have rights to advise you on certain things. And I know very well your drama and plans to postpone this marriage for years. May I continue?” Bharath nodded silently

“Thanks! Look. Your mother is not making any emotional drama. She is not such a person. But when she is adamant it is very difficult to change her mind. I hope you know that well. I know how she spent her entire life for the upliftment of this family and you without anyone’s support. Her desire is meaningful. As a son think how can you make her happy and why are you doing this to her now” he patted his shoulders and left

Bharath followed him mutely. He went to Menaka and sat near her. He gave the juice to her and took her hand in his. “Let’s go tomorrow and I will marry whomsoever you show; JUST FOR YOU. Now drink this for me”

Menaka smiled and hugged him. She brushed his hair and kissed on his forehead. Bharath lied down on her lap. Tears rolled on their eyes.

At Sindhu’s house

Sindhu wanted to stop this marriage at any cost.

“Mom! I am not a showcase doll to dressup and pose in front of the strangers”

Radha didn’t speak anything. She continued her chores. Ganapathy entered the house and happened to hear Sindhu’s conversation

“I don’t want to marry. I hate marriage. I want to settle down in a good job and take care of you at your old age. Please leave me alone. Whomsoever good groom you select, I am afraid I could not live happily”

“MAY I KNOW WHY?” Sindhu heard the growling voice of Ganapathy from her back and dumbfounded

“Have I asked anything to you till date?” She shooked her head wordlessly

“Have I ever been a showstopper for any of your wishes so far” She wanted to nod but shook her head again

“Do you LOVE someone?” she shook immediately “No till date. I hate marriage in general. I hate love as well. I don’t know both love and marriage has any real meaning in life. It is just a waste of time and hence life” she spoke those biggest paragraph for the first time in her life in front of her father.

“If you think I am a good dad for you, dress up tomorrow and accept to marry him. Else forget me ever. My decision is final” Ganapathy went out immediately. Tears rolled on her eyes. Radha stood like a statue. She doesn’t know for whom she should speak now. In this battle her brain commanded to remain silent leaving everything in the hands of destiny.

Bharath and Sindhu didn’t sleep even for a minute that night. They were much worried about the future. It is not a dress or jewel; if we don’t like use it for some time and throw off. Both the parents have placed the biggest challenge of their life.

Both have tested their emotions in a very perfect way so that they couldn’t back out or step back from the major decision regarding their life

Both neither accepted nor protest and have no options other than remaining silent for this drama called MARRIAGE

Next day morning. Sun shined so brightly. The birds started humming as if welcoming the day with choirs

Radha was very busy in preparing the dishes and making the arrangements. Ganapathy’s sister and Radha’s brother were invited. Moorthy would be accompanying the Bharath’s family.

Sindhu’s cousins were also gathered. They were continuously pulling her legs. She couldn’t give any reaction other than smiling.

Ganapathy has gifted Sindhu a beautiful peacock neck color silk saree and copper sulphate blue silk saree for Radha. With white dhothi & white shirt and a big smile on his face, he looked so royal and pride

Sindhu looked so gorgeous with minimal make up and gold jewellery set. Her long hair was plaited neatly and decorated with flowers

The arrangements were simple and perfect. Ganapthy stepped into Sindhu’s room to check everything is ok. He stood stunned admiring his daughter’s beauty which he never did in his life. His eyes welled in happiness when she attained puberty; that too without the knowledge of anyone.

Sindhu noticed his bright eyes glooming with droplets. She turned her face away afraiding she would also cry though she wanted to…

Ganapthy was never been bad. He doesn’t know to express his affection cinematically.

Bharath was dressed up in formals with a dark green shirt and sandal trousers. He looked handsome as ever. His neatly trimmed hair and clean shaved face added more beauty. Menaka hugged him and clutched his hands. Vinoth, Moorthy were invited to accompany them. Menaka doesn’t want to gather a big crowd. So far she has earned a lot of good friends in her life. She planned to invite everyone for engagement

The car started moving towards Sindhu’s residence. Both Sindhu and Bharath stayed less nervous more puzzled looking for possibility to stop the drama..
