Wow,didn't realize the HSBC was founded in order to facilitate poppy trade!!!!! Very 'Honourable' bank indeed!
I was shocked when I read that line in Wiki as well. Interestingly, after moving their headquarters to London on the eve of handover of Hong Kong to China, now the bank is reconsidering moving back to Hong Kong where it was founded as the Asian market is the largest segment in their business. They are getting little tired of European regulations. Viswa

Solution to puzzle #4807 Election ink or the indelible ink. Image 5: Dr. Rajendra Prasad swearing in Pt. Nehru for the third Lok Sabha when the election ink was used for the first time. Another feather in Mysore's cap, the Mysore Paints and Varnishes Ltd is the only company authorised to manufacture the indelible ink. Img 2: A pun, as Gauri had mentioned " democracy's manicure kit". Img 3 & 4: measurement standards. India uses SI units of measurement which is maintained by the National physical laboratory. The NPL was also involved in the research to devise the chemical formula for the indelible ink. I probably should have chosen a better picture for this clue.
