Answer to puzzle # 3950 Nalayira Divya Prabandham

It is a collection of 4,000 Tamil verses (Naalayiram in Tamil means 'four thousand') composed [SUP][1][/SUP] by the 12 Alvars, and was compiled in its present form by Nathamuni during the 9th – 10th centuries

Image #1 Nammalvar (Tamil: Nammāḻvār) is one of the twelve alwar saints of Tamil Nadu, India, who are known for their affiliation to the Vaishnava tradition of Hinduism. The verses of alwars are compiled as Nalayira Divya Prabandham and the 108 temples revered are classified as Divya Desam. According to traditional scriptures, Nammalwar was born in 3059 BCE.[SUP][1][/SUP] In Hindu legend, Nammalwar remained speechless from his birth sitting in a tamarind tree and he first interacted with Madhurakavi Alvar, who saw a bright light shining to the south, and followed it until he reached the tree where the boy was residing.
The verses of Nammalwar and other alwars are recited as a part of daily prayers and during festive occasions in most Vishnu temples in South India.

Nathamuni was a Vaishnava theologian who collected and compiled the Nalayira Divya Prabandham.Considered the first of Sri Vaishnava āchāryās, Nathamuni is also the author of Yogarahasya, and Nyāyatattva. He was the one who brought back the 4000 hymns back. In addition to teaching the hymns to his two nephews at Srirangam, he introduced them into the Srirangam Temple Service at the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, Srirangam where he was the Temple Administrator.[SUP][11][/SUP]
He is thought to be the originator of the Araiyar Sevai

This temple is glorified in the Divya Pirabandham, the early medieval Tamil literature canon of the Alvar saints from the 6th to 9th centuries AD and is counted among the 108 Divya Desams dedicated to Vishnu. There are 21 gopurams (tower gateways), among which the towering 236-feet Rajagopuram (shrine of the main gateway) is the tallest temple tower in Asia.

Viswa sir's puzzle on Sree AnanthaPadmaswamy temple had Nammalwar as the first clue and I built my puzzle based on that.

Tit-bits:
Andal is the only female Alvar among the 12 Alvar saints of South India. The Alvar saints are known for their affiliation to the Srivaishnava tradition of Hinduism. Born in 3025 BCE Andal is credited with the great Tamilworks, Thiruppavai and Nachiar Tirumozhi, that are still recited by devotees during the winter festival season of Margazhi which is from Dec 15 - Jan 14. The daily services in most Srivaishnava temples and households include recitation of the Tiruppavai -30 verses (usually 1 a day atleast).

I was out for one and half hours to listen a few bhajans. A puzzle was released and solved. Jeez, I need to carry my tablet whereever I go from now on.

@Akanksha, all roads lead to Chennai probably because of floods.:boo:

 

I reached out to my Note 4 a couple of times but better sense prevailed to resist that urge. Moreover, the bhajans were really soul stirring. This guy came all the way from India to perform in major US cities. I chose to hold on to my Rudraksha instead of Note 4. May be that good Karma helped me solve Akanksha's buzzle immediately.

Hearing 'Om Namo Narayanaya' is a call to the soul.

 

.The key words temple +alwar +life and myself also will lead to the finally answer of @jskls puzzle. That key words lead to nammalvar one of the 12 alwars from their to divya prabandhas.

My first search lead me to the chidambara temple with the key words bronze idol lady temple art(paint can). I added the clues of butterflyice noodles dancing and thought that should be of baratha natyam .
Next reached read about all the chola art and architecture and then noticed namas on temple and search vishnu temples in south india which lead me to divya desams . I couldn't match the lady and paint can which jskls mentioned as direct clues and finally after the clue of jskls i understood that she is talking about divya prabandhas . which were mentioned in the divya desam wikipedia. Then i was able to connect to the paint can picture.

I was trying all the crazy words for the paint can all the time painting, ultra , green, art except the main 4000:bonk
