    No clues required.
That's not S and his schoolboy Latin, but Virgil, from the 'Aeneid'.
It is Dido Queen of Carthage, beseeching the Trojan hero Aeneas not to leave.
"I beg you, if there is still time for such entreaties, change your mind".

Aeneas of course, is a man, and a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. The original Shane, he rides off into the sunset, only to reappear as the founder of Rome.

Of course there are a lot of meddling Gods and broken vows and the call of destiny entwined in all this in the background. You can look it up. Just a famous line for the Latin half of your crib sheet.

Actually, just kidding. (BTW they prefer 'Imgurian').
I enjoy the digs between the two, just like the one you are making. :rotfl
    Please include banana for scale.

Okay so how much karma is each one of you hoarding? I have a Reddit user id that is 9 years old. I'm going to wait one more year, get a cat, make a 10-year cake day post and ride that karma train! ;)

    Answer to #1483

    (liberally lifted from Wikipedia)

Admiral Grace Hopper - Mathematician, Inventor of Computer Programming, US Navy Rear Admiral

The piece of code introducing the puzzle is a rudimentary COBOL program. Admiral Hopper is often credited with the invention of COBOL. Though not strictly accurate, she played an influential role in the development of COBOL at the Data Systems Research division of the DoD.

The images were US naval ships, the Turbo C++ compiler, a moth (bug), and the first Iron Man suit called Mark I which was also the name of the first computer Grace Hopper programmed at Harvard University.

Grace Murray Hopper is widely known as the first lady of computer programming, or the queen of code. She invented the first compiler, paving the way for high level human-machine interaction in the form of modern programming languages. Her compiler became the foundation for all future programming and software design. She is also credited with popularizing the term "
debugging" for fixing computer glitches (inspired by an actual moth removed from the computer). I first heard of her as a teenager on the cusp of choosing my path in life. Her story played a big role in the direction I chose for myself. She was a woman of astonishing accomplishments and has been one of my greatest inspirations. If you want to learn more about this remarkable woman, I recommend this book -- http://www.amazon.com/Invention-Information-Lemelson-Studies-Innovation/dp/0262517264

    Now the promised quotes --

    1. If it's a good idea, go ahead and do it. It is much easier to apologize than it is to get permission.

^This one led to a very important personal decision. @sokanasanah will appreciate. :)

    2. Humans are allergic to change. They love to say, "We've always done it this way." I try to fight that. That's why I have a clock on my wall that runs counter-clockwise.

    3. A human must turn information into intelligence or knowledge. We've tended to forget that no computer will ever ask a new question.

@Gauri03, even if I say so myself, I think I am getting better at reading through the puzzle pictures or may be they are getting easier - either ways I have a big grin on my face this morning - the explanation, the quotes and the book recommendation, loved all of it. Thank you.
