I don't know if this makes sense but how about trying to associate concepts with objects that he can identify? So for his sister at school he could be taught to connect with something or someone at school (a friend of his sister's for instance), and sister in room he could associate with something identifiable in her room like a toy or a poster? You probably know way more about this than I do, but I'll keep an eye out for resources.
Another trivial puzzle in keeping with the theme and recent hot topics... Clue 1 -- Claimed by many, acclaimed by all, it has inspired many a friendly rivalry. The kernel of this divine idea traveled from India to Iran, and returned home transformed by the essence of its adopted land. Clue 2 -- Etymology: Persian --> Urdu/Hindi --> English Clue 3 -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFZpPpSU3k0 Any two clues will lead you to the answer.
I remember watching a documentary using visual cues (photos in that case) for abstract concepts (if your little guy thinks visually). It mentioned Temple Grandin as someone who is very visual. Just googled Temple Grandin and visual thinking and many articles come up.. maybe they can help.
Thanks both of you! Visual cues are what I use regularly with him since he's such a visual learner. But no matter what picture I show the gone to office isn't sinking in! Maybe the empty car park was what I thought but then my hubby doesn't always drive to work. Temple Grandin's books are what I should be following, deeps. Thanks for the reminder.
You mean Vicky Donor right? Haven't seen that movie but I've heard a bit about it. He's a pretty good singer. Totally love this song -- pani da rang
@gauri03 - I think I got this but what's with pic #1? I can't seem to get that to fit with my answer!
That first pic is a screenshot from a Jake Gyllenhaal movie with a name that fits the origin of our puzzle artifact.
