While we wait for the neurites to reassemble, here's something to keep everyone going - https://geoguessr.com/

Geoguessr is a game that takes you to random places in the world, and tasks you with correctly identifying your location. It uses Google street view to give you a first person perspective of your surroundings. It's fun and very very addictive.

If you just want to look without playing, try Globe Genie. It 'teleports' you around the world with a click of a button. You really never know where you might end up.

If you are a data addict like me, you'll love this website - RSOE EDIS - Emergency and Disaster Information Service. It tracks global health, weather, nuclear and natural emergencies. Lots of cool information there!

If you'd like to see live videos of deep sea exploration follow the E/V Nautilus at Nautilus Live | Explore the ocean LIVE with Dr. Robert Ballard and the Corps of Exploration . The Nautilus just finished it's final dive of the 2014 season, but there are loads of archived videos and pictures to see while you wait for the new diving season to start.

And when you're feeling really and truly desperate, there's always this,
    The Useless Web

    Have fun!

All hail our unifying lord whose azure handshakes liberated our KitKats and Lollipops, and blessed our roving discourses.

You are talking of atleast 3 different conspiracy theories younger or elder Kirk Douglas leading, slurping Lollies (though I wonder what color & shape are they on your side).

Question for all the puzzle posters on this thread - I need your permission to modify and use your puzzles elsewhere. Ideally, I would like to link back to your original posts here and give credit where it is due. But that would mean connecting my two very separate online lives; something I really don't want to do. I will acknowledge that the puzzle isn't mine. So yay or nay? I honestly won't mind if you say no, okay?

    We
    [*]
are a synod of unashamed, unremitting, wavering, petulant, impetuous & wide-eyed ladies (& a gent who deports anything but not the aforementioned traits). So the puzzle is not are we leaving or not, the puzzle is how many times have we parroted that and returned. How many times we have slammed the door and peeped from the keyhole? How many times we wrote nauseated, sappy titanic bidding farewell lines to hug each other back? How many times have we posted that one-last-post. Yawn! So the puzzle is not what we say but why we say , oh women women , we don't mean half the time whatever we say and the other times we never said that.

And when someone calls us "fickle", direct, tacit, analogy, we return to maw every functioning neuron that is beeping active after exhaustion from solving puzzles here.

I think I never welcomed you in this thread. Grab that seat, would you prefer a lighter or a jazzy , metallic , heavy rock induction to this thread.

[*] Gauri, I hope you don't mind me using collective noun in that context as I felt too exposed and vulnerable referencing the only person who does that in this thread. So that "We" there was more of Juhi Chawla doing "Hum" in QSQT.

I'm okay as long as you pay a royalty fee of 3 lemon cakes for every puzzle of mine published elsewhere. Usage with modification add a lamprey pie.

The first bit was hilarious! Reminded me of this one by George Carlin. (Warning: If you are sensitive about language this might not be your cup of tea.)

Somewhere we are not invited , that's bad! And someone mentioned prom-outcasts, trifocal-nerds, friends-for-seven-lives, virtual spiritmates.

(okay the last one is bit exaggeration)
