In an effort to explain cryptic references, here are some links:

Elina Garanca & Anna Netrebko singing the Flower duet from Lakme' by Leo Delibes.
I still like this. It comes across as sweeter to my ear - maybe I have stronger associations because I have seen them sing live. Sutherland I know only from recordings.

This was a reference to Renee' Fleming singing The Song to the Moon from 'Rusalka', by Antonín Dvořák - ethereal music! Re: Gauri's puzzle, "Chandra", the crescent moon in Shiva's hair, was another one of the Amritas to come from the churning of the Ocean of Milk.

These are popular arias as well:
'Vesti la giubba' from Leoncavallo's 'Pagliacci'.
'Libiamo ne' lieti calici' from Verdi's 'La Traviata'.
Great music from the basic opera repertoire!

In post #200, that should have read "placed together as one sentence ....." , not "to gather" (autocorrect hassles!)

    Splendid !
    :)

To be frank there was also a train of thought that travelled

Horse (hooves) + Shoe (from Salvatore) --> Horseshoe (grind stone) --> think once, think twice, whether you want this kind of shoe, Yes! I want a horse shoe not a human shoe -> Go to Magnificent -> Magnificent Seven (Western movie, bronco and rodeos)

(What is Soka after this time? Jeez! Does he want us to seek some magnificent horse shoemaker this time? Need prescription for ritalin now to solve these kind of puzzles!)

Sorry Aria, when I spoke of 'indirect', 'my intentions' etc., I meant that it was not a self-sufficient clue, not a clue in itself i.e. unless you knew the other Ferragamo post, it would not make sense. I tried to say it without saying it .... not so well as it turned out!

Hey Soka, in all honesty it is a classic puzzle! I am just as awed as Gauri was now with your detailed explanation. I've predilection for not lateral but orthogonal thinking and confused myself with don't just read lines and words when it is Soka read the spaces also.

That is a brilliant composition of a puzzle by the way! Every road you take would have lead to Pax Ritalia.

Look what I found, another addictive frequency illusion! He was shown couple of times on the screen in BBC documentaries but then , we all know now seeing HIM is very different! I was grinning to myself, thought will share the squared, rounded, err rhomboid picture here (was checking out some of the reruns)

And the equation resolves to ____

    Easier version: 22171000 < 9.8083 < 5 = ?
    Slightly more accurate : 221710006.6 < 9.8084 < 5 = ?

Solve any of the equations, both lead to the same answer.

Since we have been playing this as image-driven game, alright, I am going to attach an image as well :)

Be ready to break and explain the equation, not just the answer.

Level: Trivial, once you get past ,oh! these are numbers! I hate mathematical computations esp reversed equations. I hate it too!

(he thinks drowsy me on the other side won't britaliate for all that horse race today, eh?)
:)shaking::shaking:, the answer is too evident the more I stare at it!)
