    kudavan or vallarai chammanthi

    kudavan is called vallarai in tamil.It is also called saraswathy pathram.Very very good for brain nerves.It will increase the inteligence.It can be seen in fields.If we request street venders they will supply.
    Beat the Kudavan leave and jeerakam and mix with buttermilk.It is a medicine for digestion disorder.

    Vallarai leave cut pieces 3 cup
    coconut grated 1/4 cup
    tomato 1 cut into pieces
    indian gooseberry[amla] 1
    green chilli 1
    salt

    grind all increadients and make chutney.

    kudavan[ vallarai] chappathi

    Kudavan leave cut pieces 1/2 cup
    wheat flour 2 cup
    coconut grated 1/2 cup
    salt

    Mix all well and add water and make chappathi dough.Make chappathi as usual and enjoy.

    vallarai[kudavan dhosa and Idli

    Kudavan leave cut pieces 1/2 cup
    Idli or dhosa batter 2 cup
    coconut grated 1/2 cup

    Mix well and make idli or dhosa as usual.

    variation: You can add green chilli and asafoetida paste with the batter.

    Mantharam[thiruvathi] dhosa and arachukalakki

    Mantharam flower is very beautiful and the leave and yellow flawerd have good fragrance.
    The juice extracted from the leaves from Matharam 1cup
    rice raw 1cup
    coconut grated 1/2 cup
    green chili 1
    asafoetita salt
    Soak and grind the rice with all items.Make beautififul green dhosa. enjoy.This leave juice is a tonic.
    Arachukalakki
    The flowers and buds, coconut grated green chilli and salt.Grind and mix with curd.

    I am trying to grow all food leave in my kitchen garden.Most of the leaves available to use in my garden.However I am trying to inform the ILs about the use of food leave and plant.Some of the plants available in the big thottam[gardens].They will grow naturaly as weeds[we call them as weeds.]Thank you for your reply.

    Thirunitru pachilai,Vibhuthipachilai.chammanthi or chutney

    The vibhuthi pachilai eminates a pleasant fragrance.It is also used for puja with other flowers.It's seeds called subzah vithai and used with surbath.A light blue,gelatinous filament forms over the seed when moisture forms over the seed before germinating.In summer the surbath is very tasty and cooling drink.

    vibhuthi pachilai cut 1 cup
    tomato 2
    coconut grated 1/4 cup
    green chilli 2
    salt

    grind all ingreadiants. enjoy with dhosa etc.,

    vibhuthi pachila arachukalakki,

    Vibhuthi pachila, coconut grated,green chilli salt grind all items and mix with buttermilk.Temper with mustards seeds,curry leave one red chilli.
    enjoy with rice or dhosa etc.,

    It can be used for flavouring soup, salad dressing .

    Poovankurunthal[neichitti in tamil] roti

    poovankurunthal has sweet smell.

    leave of poovankurunthal 1 cup
    rice flour 2 cup
    coconut grated 4 tbs
    salt
    water
    oil

    poovankurunthal leaves coconut grated salt and rice flour.Make dough and make roti like ragi roti.You can make this as dhosa batter and make dhosa also.

    variation: in the place of rice flour wheat flour may be added and make roti or dhosa. adding of coconut grated is optional.

    cherula or cherupoola

    Chrula or chrupoola in tamil kannupoola.In Tamil nad all houses decorated
    in pongal day with this plant with lots of little white flowers .

    This is best for pregnant women.From senventh month Pal kazhaym with this plant Or kanji with broken rice and leaves.after consuming this one can pass urine freely.urinal stone will be cured.

    one cup leave
    one cup broken rice
    coconut grated
    salt
    ghee 1tsp

    cook very well and add all other items consume in lukewarm condition.

    Can make chammanthi [thukayal] with is leave.
