    Om Sai Ram g3Sudha sister,

Congrats for being nominated and Thanks for framing such good questions inspite of your busy schedule. I am trying to answer in short below.

Oh Nana, he who has the power to digest onion, should eat it and none else". Who said and why????
A sadhak once came to shirdi to seek Baba's help in attaining samadhi and concentration while performing yoga. But when he saw Baba eating bread and raw onion, he became doubtful of Baba's capabailities. Thats when to remove his doubt Baba indirectly addresed Nanasaheb and uttered the above words. Yogi was wonderstruck and fell at Baba's feet. By Baba's grace ,he was able to solve all of his problems.

"Go,get away and come down" these words are said by baba.why??
Go Get away get down were words/order given to the snake and the poison to prevent it from going up and circulating in Shama's body.

Baba said - "Stop, how cruel you are! Being a Brahmin, you are killing a goat?" To whom he said and why??
Once a weak old goat was brought to the Masjid. Baba thought of testing his disciples Kakasaheb Dixit. Baba ordered Kakasaheb to kill the goat. Kakasaheb being a pure brahmin didn't hesitate and got a knife for the same. When we was just about to strike the Knife, Baba said "Stop, how cruel you are! Being a Brahmin, you are killing a goat?. Later Kakasaheb very beautifully explained that prompt compliance to Gurus
order without reasoning is what he considered as his dharma/duty.

Please correct anything if need be.
Om Sai Ram Jai Sai Ram
Baba bless all our IL families

    WEEK 15, Apr 10th 2014
Questions are based on Chapter # 23

    Dear G3sudha,
Here are my answers to the questions,
Oh Nana, he who has the power to digest onion, should eat it and none else". Who said and why????

The above words were said by Baba to Nanasaheb Chandorkar. Once A sadhak of Yoga came to Shirdi with Nanasaheb. He was well versed in the knowledge of yoga, including Yoga sutras of Patanjali, but had no practical experience. He couldn't concentrate and attain samadhi for long time. He thought Baba would help him attain this. When he went to see Baba, he was eatng bread with onion. A thought struck sadhak, how can this man eating stale bread with raw onion can solve his difficulties. Sai ram reading his mind said the above words which made sadhak completely surrender to Baba's feet and he sought help for his difficulties.

"Go,get away and come down" these words are said by baba.why??

Go get away, come down was an order to the snake and its poison which harmed Shama. He ordered the poison not to go up and circulate through Shama's body. His words were more efficient in saving the life of Shama

Baba said - "Stop, how cruel you are! Being a Brahmin, you are killing a goat?" To whom he said and why??

The above words were said to Kakasaheb Dixit. Once Baba asked Bade baba to behead the goat. He refused. Then baba asked Shama to kill it. He did took a knife but stayed in Wada and didn't return soon. Then Kakasaheb Dixit was asked to kill the goat. He was born in pure Brahmin family and never in his life knew killing, but agreed to behead the goat as Baba said him to do so. When he was ready for the final signal, Baba asked to Go on, strike. When he was about to kill, Baba said the above words.

Baba said, how cruel he was, being a pure brahmin and killing the goat. Kakasaheb obeyed to his words and said, we do not know or think whether its right or wrong to kill but to follow Guru's orders as it is the duty and dharma of disciples.

Thank you for the above questions. It was nice to be a part of this week's satsang.
    Om Sai Ram.

    UNDERSTANDING SAISATCHARITA AND SATSANG,PARAYAN2,WEEK 15

    Dear G3Sudha sister,

Congrats on your nomination this week. Here are my responses -

    1) Oh Nana, he who has the power to digest onion, should eat it and none else". Who said and why????

Once a Yoga Sadhaka came to Shirdi,as he wanted Baba's guidance in putting his bookish knowledge to practical use. No matter how hard he tried, the Sadhaka wasn't able to concentrate or meditate to attain Samadhi . He saw Baba eating raw onion and wondered how a man who ate onion would be able to guide him.Baba read his mind and said the above words, referring to the Sadhaka himself, implying that only one who could imbibe or digest the essence of Yoga could put it to practice.
    2) "Go,get away and come down" these words are said by Baba.why??

Once Shama was bitten by a poisonous snake.Of course,he rushed to his doctor,Baba for help. When Baba saw Shama, he started scolding and said "Go,get away and come down".Everyone including Shama thought that Baba was scolding Shama but Baba was referring to the poison within Shama's body and was directing it to go down and leave Shama's body. Baba then assured Shama that he should go home and everything would be alright.

3)Baba said - "Stop, how cruel you are! Being a Brahmin, you are killing a goat?" To whom he said and why??

This was an instance where Baba tested his devotee's Guru Bhakti. Once a goat was brought to the Masjid.Baba tested Bade Baba,Shama and Radha-Krishna Mai by asking them to be a party in beheading the goat. All of them gave some excuses and escaped. Finally it was the turn of Kakasaheb Dixit,a Brahmin who had never eaten/killed an animal. When Baba asked him to behaead the goat,Kakasaheb got ready to do it. Baba stopped him and said ""Stop, how cruel you are! Being a Brahmin, you are killing a goat?" Then it became clear that Baba was just testing Kakasaheb,as Baba would never force a devotee to go against his/her beliefs.

    Jai Sai Ram!

    Dearest Sudha Sister,
Congrats on getting nominated. Here are my answers.

    1) Oh Nana, he who has the power to digest onion, should eat it and none else". Who said and why????
Once a Yogi visited Shirdi along with Nanasaheb. The Yogi has studied all yoga sutras but couldn't enjoy the bliss of Samadhi for a longer period and he thought that if he gets BABA's blessings, he will be able to achieve that. With this wish, he came to Shirdi and he was puzzled on seeing BABA eating Roti and Onion.
As all humans, Yogi also started thinking on how can this man eating stale Roti and onion can help me.
BABA could read Yogi's mind and told Nana the above words. Hearing this, Yogi was amazed and surrendered completely at HIS feet and got BABA's blessings.

    2) "Go,get away and come down" these words are said by Baba.why??
These were the magic words spoken by BABA onto the poison that was trying to mix with Shama's blood. BABA cured Shama from the snake bite with these magic words.
Initially Shama and others were greatly disappointed with these words thinking that these words were addressed to Shama. But later, everyone understood that these words were to the poison.
These stories of BABA brings us more faith in thy holy feet.

3)Baba said - "Stop, how cruel you are! Being a Brahmin, you are killing a goat?" To whom he said and why??

This story indicates the test for a strong devotee. Once a old goat was brought to Masjid. It was very sick, weak and about to die. BABA asked Bada BABA (Fakir Pir Mohamad) to kill the goat. Bada BABA, the most fortunate disciple of BABA denied as it is of no use. Radha Krishna Mai and Shama also weren't ready. It was Kakasaheb Dixit's turn. When BABA asked him to get the knife and kill the goat.
Kakasaheb Dixit didn't ask any questions or show any kind of unwillingness and immediately got ready to do that. He saw BABA for his final word and BABA asked the above question to Kaka.
Kaka kept the knife at thy holy feet and told that "Your nectar like words are laws and we do not know anything else. We always remember you, mediate on you and obey you and we do not know whether things are right or wrong. We do not want to reason or discuss things. Obeying Guru's order is our duty or dharma."

BABA then said to Kaka that he would kill the goat himself. However the goat died on the way to Takkya.

BABA never forces his disciplies to do things that they do not believe. These stories teaches us, how to accept situations in life as Guru's order and believe that BABA will take care of us.

    Om Sai Ram!!

    Viji

    Dear Sai Sisters,

It was a blessed moment for me, when Sister Racr messaged me that i was nominated for this week's Understanding Satcharithra thread!!Of late i joined the parayan group last year and with grace of BABA, i got to read the holy book of sai satcharithra this year too...

My saviour, friend, philosopher and all above BABA has given me the oppurtunity to the nomination for this week.

The questions for this week would be from the chapter 34 that i read for today's parayan. This chapter is all about the importance of Udhi and BABA's leelas performed on his devotees by giving the Udhi to them.

    1. Who said these words to whom?
(Those who resort to this Masjid shall never suffer anything in this life and to the end of time. Be now care-free)

    2. Whom did BABA fondly called as Bhau and what was he told about his Karma by Guru SAI?

    3. How did BABA's Udi helped the Iranian girl to recover from her illness?

Once again, thank you BABA, Sai Sakthi akka and Racr Sister for this wonderful oppurtunity. We are all blessed to be a part of this group and BABA had given us his blessings in making us read satcharithra..

Hi G3sudha, Thanks for your questions....my replies are below:

    1. These words are said by a sadhak to Mr Nanasaheb. Because he had a doubt that how come a man who eats rotten bread and raw onion can get away him from the problem and doubtful of Baba's capabilities, as he suspected the power of Baba and in reply for that Baba said those words. but later he was able to solve the issues with Baba's blessings.

    2. Once Mr Shama got bitten by a snake in his little finger, when he was in the serious state Baba said these words to him. Baba's these words was like scolding him, Mr Shama got shocked by His words, but Baba referred to the poison of the snake as well as indirectly he teaches a lesson to all by this incident.

    3. When Baba was thouht of testing His disciples sincererity, He asked Mr Kakasaheb to kill the goat which was weak and was brought to Masjit, he obeyed His words eventhough he was a brahmin. Baba said "Stop, how cruel you are! Being a Brahmin, you are killing a goat?. For that he replied a disciple should obey the words of his Guru without any cross questions that is the true bhakthi which a devotee possess. so these words are told by Baba to Mr Kakasaheb, but later He asked him not to kill the goat.

    UNDERSTANDING SATCHARITA AND SATSANG,PARAYAN 2, WEEK 16

    Dear Mathiravi sister,

Congrats on getting nominated this week. Lovely questions..here are my responses -

    1. Who said these words to whom?
(Those who resort to this Masjid shall never suffer anything in this life and to the end of time. Be now care-free)

Baba said these comforting words to the parents of a boy who was suffering from an incurable form of TB.Once anyone steps into Sai's Darbar, all his sufferings vanish and no one goes back empty-handed!

    2. Whom did BABA fondly called as Bhau and what was he told about his Karma by Guru SAI?

Baba called one Dr. Pillai as "Bhau" or brother. He was once afflicted by excruciating pain due to ring-worms infection. Dr.Pillai requested Baba through Mr. Dixit to end his life as the pain was unbearable, and he was ready to pay for his bad karma of the past in future births, but couldn't bear with this pain now. Baba told Mr. Dixit ","Tell him to be fearless. Why should he suffer for ten births? In ten days he can work out the sufferings and consequences of his past Karma. While I am here to give him temporal and spiritual welfare, why should he pray for death? Bring him here on somebody's back and let us work and finish his sufferings once for all".

How compassionate Baba was..true to His words,Dr.Pillai was cured of his pain, when he was brought into the Masjid. One devotee, Abdul stepped on his leg and caused the ring worms to come out! This gave the much needed relief to Dr. Pillai. This just goes to say that if one has utmost faith in Baba,He can reverse even the bad effects of Karma or destiny!

    3. How did BABA's Udi helped the Iranian girl to recover from her illness?

This Iranian girl used to get fits every hour and suffered a lot. Her father starting giving her Baba's Udi with water daily,on a friend's suggestion. Soon, the frequency of the fits reduced till it stopped entirely!

    Jai Sai Ram!

    Dear Mathiravi,
Here are my answers to this week's satsang.

    1. Who said these words to whom?
(Those who resort to this Masjid shall never suffer anything in this life and to the end of time. Be now care-free)

The above words were said to parents of the little boy who suffered from Tubercular bone abcess when they came to Shirdi to receive Baba's blessing to save their child.

    2. Whom did BABA fondly called as Bhau and what was he told about his Karma by Guru SAI?

Dr Pillay, a close devotee of Baba was called as 'Bhau' by Sairam. Dr, Pillay suffered from guinea worms. He couldn't tolerate pain. He said to Dixit that he preferred death than pain which was a result of his past karma and asked him to go to Baba and tell him, to stop his pain and transfer his working of past karma to ten future births of him. Baba told Dixit to bring him to Masjid.

Baba said to Pillay, "Lie calmly here and be at ease. The true remedy is, that the result of past actions has to be suffered and got over, Our karma is the cause of our happiness and sorrow; therefore put up with whatever comes to you. Allah(God) is the sole Dispenser and Protector, always think of Him. i.e. completely and then see what He does". He told to take off the bandage on his leg or he will die and also told a crow will come and peck him and he will recover.

Later, Abdul who cleans Masjid accidentally fell upon Dr.Pillay's leg. Then all worms squeezed out once. Baba said, Abdul was the crow. Taking udhi with water cured Dr. Pillay's disease completely.

    3. How did BABA's Udi helped the Iranian girl to recover from her illness?

The daughter of Iranian man suffered from fits every hour. While having fits she lost her power of speech, her limbs contracted and fell down senseless. No remedies helped her. A friend of this man advised him to receive Baba's Udi from Kakasaheb Dixit. He got it and gave it mixed with water to daughter to drink daily. Slowly fits reduced and came every seven hours and after a few days she recovered completely.

Glad to be a part of this week's satsang. Thank you for the above questions.
    Om Sai Ram.

    Dear Sisters

I am blessed to be nominated, actually I was nominated before but was very busy for some personal reasons, even to notice that I was nominated, but Baba had other plans, I don't think I would have done any justice, if I had done then and that's why Baba made me miss that time, now I am at peace and can do at-least some justice. I also want to thank Racr sister for helping me in this and Saisister for making the parayan and satsang to work even though we are in different parts of the world with different time zones.

I have chosen chapter 33 for the nomination, I prayed Baba that last time I dint take the nomination so this time help me do it properly and this number came to my mind immediately. so I asked Saisakthi sister if I can do that chapter because my parayan chapter for this week is chapter 36, Saisakthi agreed that I can do chapter 33 and I am glad I got this chapter it's about the miraclues of UDI and I have my personal experience on how wonderfully UDI works who believe in Baba.i have written here http://www.indusladies.com/forums/r...greatness-udi-baba-s-sport-4.html#post2743993 how UDI changed my life.

The questions for this week would be from the chapter 33 that I have chosen. This chapter is all about the importance of Udi and BABA's leelas experienced by his devotees by giving the Udi to them.1. How and why did Baba help Nanasaheb Chandorkar ?and whom did Baba send from Shridi to help Nanasaheb Chandorkar?

    2. what happened in Appasaheh Kulkarni's house after he had left for Bhivandi ? and what lesson did he learn when he was back?

    3.
What did Baba teach or hint by this Udi?

Thank you once again Saisakthi sister and Racr sister. I am indeed blessed to be a part of the parayan group and doing the parayan everyweek gives me so much happiness and be at peace.
I pray that Baba blesses each and everyone and specifically for TTC ladies please Baba give us our bundle of joy soon, JAISAIRAM.
