wonderful My dear Chithra Thanks for starting another useful thread. Mymom tought me these slokams when I was a small kid, even I am planning to teach Rohit all these slokams. I liked the slokam u have posted for Lord Murugan, I do not know that slokam. Thanks for attaching the pdf file too. Love and regards Priya
My dear Meena ! I knew you would find these useful to teach Deepu - this is the right age ! I have just installed a pdf convertor. When everybody wawas writing about taking a printout, it struck me that a pdf file will be helpful ! Hence the late decision ! Thanks for the F B. Love, Chithra.
My dear Sumi ! I am very happy to receive your feedback. 5 yrs & above is the right age to teach simple shlokas. Start right away - wish you all the best. Love, Chithra.
My dear Priya ! Just a suggestion - since Rohit is too young, you chant these shlokas & tape in a casette. Play them repeatedly when he is awake - he will learn them easily over time. That was what I did at home. Even now when I go to any Subrahmanyaswami temple, I get only " skandaya... " first - it is so deeply ingrained in my mind ! Thankyou for the F B. Lov, Chithra. Now, I am busy getting a " marathon list of shlokas" for grown ups !

Hello RV ! Please go through the puja format http://www.indusladies.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2940 & read them in detail. You can choose from that. Further simplification is perhaps, just lighting the lamp & doing a namaskaram. Love, Chithra.
