Bread Uppma: Cut or tear about 6 slices of bread into bite sized chunks. Cut 1 onion and 1 potato into similar sized pieces. IN a large skillet, start off with the seasoning - mustart seeds or jeera, uradh or channa dhal, red or green chillies. Saute the onion with a little bit of salt to hasten the cooking, add the potato and turmuric, sprinkle with water to continue speeding up the cooking. When done, add dhania-jeera powder or garam masala powder and the bread chunks. Mix it all together and allow to blend for a minute on the stove top. To crisp the bread, turn the flame very low and allow to sit for 2-3 mins. Top with a little bit of butter/ghee and coriander leaves to increase flavour.
Wow.. thats a very useful thread.. Thanks to the Sowraj How about the egg schezwan noodles that can be prepared in 6 minutes? Boil water in a large vessel - meanwhile cut 1 onion, and 1 green chilly. - 1 minute Drop the noodles cake in the boiling water - meanwhile take a kadai and add oil , saute onion and salt, break open the egg in it, and let it cook -2 minute Add red chilly paste, ginger garlic paste and pepper powder, soya sauce and tomato sauce in it - 1 minute By this time the noodles would have boiled well, strain it remove the water and add it in the kadai along with the egg to saute - 1 minute. Keep the flame high and toss it 1 minute to get fried, crispy, delicious egg schezwan noodles. Garnish with coriander. Poha also can be made quickly. If you want to add potatoes, for instant making, slit the potato and directly keep it in microwave.
