Chocolate-Walnut Chikki - you will love its brittle texture!

    Ghee - 1 tsp

    Sugar - ¾ cup

    Mix & keep ready:

    Coconut powder - ¾ cup

    Cocoa powder - 2 tbsp

    Drinking chocolate - ¾ cup

coarsely chopped walnuts - ¼ cup

    Vanilla essence - 1 tsp

In a saucepan, heat ghee & add sugar.

When it caramelizes & gets honey colour, switch off & add all other ingredients.

Mix very well & transfer to a greased plate.

Mark & cut before it sets firm.

I transferred to silicon moulds lined with a little coconut powder.

    Break into bite-sized pieces.

Rich Nuts-Khoa Halwa - exactly 1 tsp ghee!

    Walnuts - 1 cup

Chooped cashewnuts & pista - 2 tbsp, each

    Sugarless khoa - ½ cup

    Sugar - 1/3 cup

    Lightly roast walnuts.

Chop a few to get 2 tbsp pieces & powder the rest.

Mix sugar with ½ cup water & boil for 5 mtes. Set aside.

Fry grated khoa in a pan till, soft.

Add powdered walnuts & mix well.

When it starts thickening add the other two nuts (keeping pista for garnishing) & 1 tsp ghee.

Simmer till it leaves the pan.

    Garnish with pista.

Paneer Pedas - less sweet, serve chilled

    There is no cooking involved.

    Mix together.

Grated soft paneer - 100 gms

    Icing sugar - 100 gms

    Powdered walnuts - 100 gms

Coconut powder - 100 gms (optional)

Cardamon powder or rose essence or almond essence

If it is loose, refrigerate to make it firm.

If you prefer it more sweet, crumble a few cream biscuits or sweet biscuits & add.

Roll into balls & shape as pedas.

    Chill & serve.
