    Thankyou, Ami !

We live in a flat - no garden ! I buy regularly lotus to keep at the entrance to my flat on both sides of the main door, as " welcome flowers".
I kept them near the picture for the photo for a nice effect. Good that you bought the Annapurna etc. I shall look out for a Kamadhenu shlokam & post.
    Love & regards,
    Chithra.

    Swami Raghavendrar Slokam

    Hi Ami,

Here is the slokam and meaning for you.

    Poojyaaya Raaghavendraaya
    Sathya Dhrama Vrataayacha
    Bhajataam Kalpa Vrikshaaya
    Namathaam Kaamadhenave
Meaning: I prostrate before the venerable Guru Raghavendra who is always professing Truth and Righteousness, the One who is like the kalpavriksha (wish fulfilling tree) and kamadhenu (celestial cow indicating prosperity) to the devotees (meaning He is a boon giver).

I can only call it blissful!

    Dear Mrs.Chithra,
For a few moments i was absorbed with the picture of your pooja thali.Only before a few months i got back from India and i only WISH that i had known this then.Until the opportunity presents itself again i will get solace looking at yours!
Tommorow being friday am excited to see the vilakku poojai format.Mine doesn't even come close to this!I used to say this thiruvilaku sthotharam which starts with "Vilakke thiruvilake".I think KK has posted it somewhere.Have i been saying the right slokam all along,Mrs.C?
Again, incredible work on the format and may God be with you always.
I have corrected the Ganesha pooja format. It was very small really.
    Keep up your good work.

    Warmly
    Suba.

Suba, I already feel your warmth !

This is a regular puja. After finishing this, you can chant " vilakke thiru vilakke" & Or any other devi shlokams. Tomorrow, after finishing my puja, I shall try to post the puja photo, if possible. There are many formats from which I took the salient points & combined to arrive at this.
    hankyou for the post.
    Love & regards,
    Chithra.

    Cow slogam

    Hi Ami, Vidya,

While growing up in Cuddalore, my grandfather's place they had cows & calves. Regularly fridays they used to pray to the cow (after bathing it), applying manjal / kumkum, showing agarbathi & walking around it & doing namaskarams also. As a little girl, I used to simply run around, trying to disturb the peaceful animal or I'll be riding the kannukutti ! On Sat. they used to give Agathi keerai to the revered pasu. The saanam was used for washing the mud floors of the kitchen , verandah & also the courtyard in front of the house. OOhhhhh, what a nice smell it was along with the Pavazhamalli plant in the front garden --- nowadays , miles away from home only I understand & appreciate the meaning of such gestures & worship.

I'm posting a simple 'Go / Pasu' vandhanam below, though not sure if it is equivalent to Kamadhenu slogam.

Sarva Kamadhuke Devi, Sarva Theertha Abhisheshini
Paavani Surabhi Shrehste , Devi Thubhyam Namostute.

    Bye,

    JagaJyothi Feedback

    Dear Mrs C,

The DeepaJYothi Pooja format is brilliant. I cannot imagine how u come up with such rare and useful formats. Surely , we have done some punyam that we have your satsangam in this.

I will perform both poojais soon and post a practical FB.

    affectionately
    Vidya
