Your queries answered, Vatsi ! The following can be chanted to be always blessed with food to eat: Annadae devi daehyannam pas(h)oon puthran yas(h)as(h)riyam Aayuraarogyam ais(h)varyam daehi devi namo(a)sthuthae When you cook, any simple chanting like "om nama(h)ivaya" or " om namo narayanaya " or something similar can be said. It is just to prevent the mind from wandering to unpleasant thoights & the positive energy in the food to be magnified. Salt water mopping can be done everyday, but please throw away the water immediately into WC. Never keep it since it is said to be contaminated with negtive energy. Ask somebody to hold the baby & do the dhrishti procedure as i said. Always use ordinary rock salt for all this. Thulasi Pujai - I will post after drafting it. Love & regards, Chithra.
sloka to dispel negativity, usher positive thoughts I got this from my Yoga teacher to be chanted for dispelling negative thoughts and attracting positive strength to mind, soul and body. This is also chanted during Surya Namaskaram. This sloka will cleanse the mind, heal past baggage, and remove our innate resistance. If u wish to attain mental goals like concentration, compassion, clarity- then this slokam will help you. As a result of chanting this, one can attain behaviour changes like reacting to situations better, attain body and mind synergy, and reach higher consciousness. The practical use of this mantra is that it will help us attain our mundane goals. It will help us to distinguish between the polarity in positive and negative thoughts. And aid us in flushing out negativity and ushering in positivity. And above all, act and react to those thoughts appropriately. Bhadram karnebhih srnuyama devah Bhadram pasyemaksabhir yajatrah Sthirairangais tustuvagumsas tanubhih Vyasema devahitam yadayuh Svasti na indro vrddhasravah Svasti nah pusa visva vedah Svasti nas tarksyo aristanemih Svasti no brhaspatir dadatu Meaning: Oh Sun God, Bless me with a mind that allows only good things to be heard, good things to be seen. request for sloka Dear Mrs Chithra, The sloka for fortitude, virility--is inspiring and I shall chant it. Can you suggest a sloka to ward off an unpleasant event that is to happen and you cannot get out of it? For eg: a possible transfer to a 'tanni yilla kaadu', or getting a bad boss. I am just writing loosely, that is ward off a bad event? Thanks in advance sincerely Vidya
