Sloka for Naga Raja!!! Hello Mrs. Chithra & others, I am interested in knowing if there is any sloka for naga devata (Snake god). I am reciting the below sloka everyday and want to know if it is correct. Om Naga Raja Maha Baaga Mangalya Saukiyaprrata Pasun putran thanam thehi Om naga rajaya namaha
This is new to me, Jaya ! I have not heard it. May be you can pronounce " saukyaprada" & dhanam dehi". Love & regards, Chithra.

spiritual flow.......... Dear Chitra, Prathi, Leo, Vidhya, Vidya, Jaya, Kamla, Sri, thank you all for sharing so many shlokams. Chitra, as usual, I'm looking at your mails for more vedanta. thanks for sharing the shlokams to be chanted while showing deepam. I'll take a print out and try reciting it regularly. Pls share simple day-to-day shlokams and then move on to specific pujas, Chitra. I'm starting from ABC as far as shlokams are concerned. there maybe others too who would want to perfect the basics b4 moving further. also, you'd mentioned about a simple format for everyday puja, I'd be grateful if you could share the same. I just don't know how to do a puja and It would be really helpful and make a lot of difference to my otherwise unorganised routines that I follow, and the tamil script that you've given is readable. Prathi, thats a good idea to start a thread on shlokams. thanks for giving us the dwaya manthram. Also, could you pls explain what is neivedhyam??? shlokam while taking bath is something interesting, Prathi - Vidya24, is the shlokam given by you, also chanted during pregnancy??? Leo, thanks for the early morning prayer. I used to just look at the palm and rub on face but never knew the significance behind it. gjaya, thanks for the shlokam to avoid bad dreams; gonna teach my daughter first.. kamala, I think shld learn the shlokam that you've posted, first; cause as a beginner I might end up pronouncing it wrong or might commit a little mistake here & there. Its such a nice feelin just going thru the shlokams here. already feel so sacred & spiritual inside. thanks to all of you & pls share all that you know - it might help people like me.
HI Meena Hello meena, Naivedyam means offering. Usually it involves offering cooked rice and dal. But we cannot do it always keeping in mind practicalities. I offer milk, ghee and sugar and some fruits everyday. When i do that i chant this shloka. On festive days when we make sweet and other svaouries we offer it to God before tasting it ourselves. I have been taught by mother and mil that we have to offer whatever we do to God first. Whether it is wearing a new dress, perfume or even when u r going about ur daily chores, just in mind think that whatever you do you offer to Him. Ultimately this will balance the acts we do as we are not entitled to any fruits or sins from those actions since we have already left everything to God and thus it wont stop us enjoying the little pleasures of life too. One need not be a sanyasi to love him.
