Organizing
1-Bins that are stackable on top of the other are handy and can serve as drawers. Store seasonal items in attic/basement and the ones that you use often in functional drawers. Throw or give away all items that you have not used in a year and prevent clutter!
2-Place a paper plate between the pans when stacking non-stick pans in kitchen cabinets. This will prevent the pans from getting scratched, thus prolonging their life
3-Items stored in refrigerators sometimes give out an unpleasant odor. Get rid of the smell by soaking a piece of cotton in your favorite essence (Eg, vanilla/lemon/ice-cream) and keep it on the top shelf. When you open the refrigerator, a fresh fragrance will greet you. A piece of fresh lime also helps in cutting down the unpleasant odor. This is required if you tend to keep chopped onions in the fridge regularly.
4-Place cloth sets together-the sari with blouse, salwars with the kurtas and trousers with tops. If you are storing your shoes, place them in the lowermost shelf. Best will be a pull out drawer. Additionally, for pleasant smell, place empty perfume wrapped in a kerchief or a pouch of lavender for lingering fragrance in your closet.
5-Keep all immediate necessities like coffee powder, sugar, tea, milk can, oil and coffee cups etc within a handful distance from your gas stove so that you can quickly complete that task.
6-Organize your kid’s toys with proper segregation. Keep those toys that are your kid’s favorites/ plays with them every day as one set. Those they hardly touch (am sure there would be some) into the other set. Pack the other set and put them away in the attic/ loft. Take them out after a long internal, you will find they will show renewed interest in them!
