    Hi all

I have posted an easy method of storing threads for embroidery in this link Embroidery: Kasuthi Work Instructions

Pls chk it out as this helps when you need all the threads to be the same length and use 3/4 of the anchor skeins

    hello jayasree[jaymg],
It was the artisans who caught my attention in the show and the modesty of the designer to give them credits for the beautiful stitches.IL has tutors like you to give guidance with no obligations.Glad i am here.

    Hi Jsri,

Yes I applaud the designer for giving the artisans their due credit. My Mphil thesis was on the arts and Crafts of Karnataka and I can really understand the plight of the artisans since I studied it first hand.

Su and I are ready to help anybody who would want or need guidance and I can say this for Su, It will be our pleasure.

    Hello Jayasree,
Thanks a lot.I am not surprised by your limit of education but the crafty instinct has superceded our lives. Not to boost of i am a PG in History, but the soul was always for learning these arts.Compulsions in way of regular college education became mandatory. But after that there was no looking back.Sometime in future will land in Bangalore to drop by at your place. This forum has opened a can of dreams to be fulfilled,to learn is a process but to specialise in one particular work is a dedication.I prefer the Kantha work and expect my mails after March 20 to clear all doubts. Thanks once again to Su and yourself.
